Headshot of Euan Smith at a wedding

A little bit about me……

Originally from Edinburgh I’ve had the pleasure of living in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow and now in beautiful Ayrshire with my amazing family.

What began as a passion has evolved into something so much more. Not just a passion for photography and the power and storytelling a single image can provide, but a passion for providing joy and pleasure to others. I want to capture your special moments and of those that matter the most to you. I’m proud of the journey so far and even more excited for what’s ahead.

What I hope sets me apart isn’t just my time taking photos, it’s the intention behind them. I take time to understand what it is you are looking for from the outset so I can help capture memories you can go back to again and again.

And a little bit more……

  1. I’m married to my beautiful and amazing wife Louise and I can remember what a brilliant wedding day we had. My friends still to this day comment on what an amazing day it was and yes we do still look back at our wedding album from time to time.

  2. My family are the most important thing to me so when I’m not focussing on others in my professional life I’m being as good a husband and dad as I can be.

  3. I enjoy dabbling with art, mainly focussing on painting landscapes and animals.

  4. We’ve got 4 hens. After years of resisting I finally caved in - they’re called Rose, Lavender, Iris and Poppy.

  5. In a previous life I used to work with Olympic and Paralympic athletes get in shape to take on the best in the world.

  6. I’m definitely happier behind the lens than in front of it!

My Investment

To ensure I can deliver the experience and images you’re looking for I continue to invest in my own professional skills and the business. First and most importantly, I invest my time into every project to ensure I have a clear understanding of your needs and to provide support and advice.

The best equipment doesn’t automatically equal outstanding images, it takes technical knowledge and experience to be in the right place at the right time to frame fantastic photos. Excellent equipment is important however, and I have invested in the best equipment and have it regularly serviced so I am well prepared for us working together. I always shoot with backup cards so should there be any issues with a card (it hasn’t happened to me yet) I have a backup to ensure none of your special moments are lost. I also shoot with 2 cameras in case one stops working and to capture all the different styles of shots I’m looking for using different lenses. In short, you’re in safe hands.

I’m fully insured and‍ have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
